Easy and Hard Ways to Solve Sudoku

The addictive number puzzle game that is sudoku is played and enjoyed by people all over the world. It is a very challenging and exciting game to play. Sudoku can also be very difficult which adds a lot to the game’s appeal. The basic rules of the game are to take the numbers one through nine and place them in the grid that is provided for you without repeating the numbers.

So how do you go about solving the game of sudoku? The steps that follow will help players that enjoying playing all skill levels of the game.

Easy Sudoku

1. Players should think very carefully while thinking about solving this puzzle. Since you are made well aware that you are not to repeat the numbers in the game that is an excellent hint as to where all the numbers should be placed. Another thing to keep in mind is that the more difficult the level of sudoku is that you are playing the more difficult it will be to begin the game.

2. When working your way through an easy level of sudoku you must be well aware of all the possibilities. The possibilities are the numbers of the game and where they should be properly placed. So once you are aware of the possible numbers of the game it should be no trouble at all trying to decide where they should be placed.

3. Begin working from number one until you finally make your way up to number nine. Since you have worked your way through all the possibilities of the game it will give you a great idea of what numbers need to be put where.

4. If you find that you are a bit confused always make sure that you can go back and check the placement of the numbers that you have already put down. This process will help you in figuring out if you have missed a number somewhere along the way. Once you do this you can continue on your way to solving the puzzle. Should you still be unable to figure out what the problem is one idea would be to label each grid with every number possibility that could be put there. So if there happens to be an empty box fill it in with all the number possibilities and see what result you happen to get.

5. The best way to begin playing sudoku is to find a newspaper or magazine containing a game. The easiest versions of these puzzles are generally found in the Monday and Tuesday editions of the newspaper. More difficult ones can be found on the following days of the week.

Hard Sudoku

1. Again you will want to start with row number one and implement the same strategy that you would use with an easy puzzle. Remember again the possibilities as they can become quite helpful to you if you have empty boxes and are not sure as to what should be put into them.

2. Two cells in each block, row and column should have one of two numbers placed into them. This is true for all three-3x3 blocks in the sudoku gaming grid. So when a player works through all the possibilities it will be much easier to be able to determine which number goes into each cell block. This method can be done until each and every cellblock has been filled.

3. Players should realize that more difficult versions of sudoku could be more time consuming. It can sometimes even take players a few days to complete a more difficult puzzle although that can really produce a huge feeling of contentment and pride by completing it. The more difficult levels of sudoku are just the same as the easy levels but there are fewer clues given in the beginning of the game. It may be a very confusing process to learn about what numbers go where but once you have applied the basic concepts you will have a blast playing.

4. You could visit the Internet in order to find sudoku puzzles of all difficulty levels. You will be able to practice all you want on easier levels and then soon be able to take on the more challenging levels of the game.

Just make sure that you follow all the steps involved in playing the game of sudoku. If you do you are sure to have a fantastic time tackling the brain teasing puzzles.
